Stellar Drive

The Stellar Drive is a technology that enables units with stellar FTL travel abilities, although they have only galactic range.  Therefor these ships may travel anywhere within their galaxy, but require a Jump Gate to move to another galaxy.  Each level a base researches increases the Stellar Units travel Speed by 5%. It is recommended that this technology be researched to a moderately high limit, as some of the ships using this drive are important in a standard Fleet.

Because of the galactic limit of these five ship types it is possible to accidentally jump them to another galaxy with no means of escape. This problem is one reason for joining a guild. The shared Jump Gates of guildmates greatly increase the effective range of these units.
